Policy Overview

Markaz Academy of Qur’an Studies (MAQS) has instituted this Donation Refund Policy to ensure fair, transparent, and accountable processing of refund requests, especially as digital and online donation methods are increasingly used. MAQS expects all donors to exercise due care and diligence while making donations.

MAQS also acknowledges that, in certain situations, donations may be made erroneously or donors may wish to reconsider their decision. In such cases, MAQS will examine refund requests on a case-by-case basis and will endeavor to process eligible refunds. The Academy may request proper explanations and supporting verification documents from the donor before processing any refund.

However, Markaz Academy of Qur’an Studies is not obligated to provide refunds and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline any refund request. This is particularly applicable in cases where a tax exemption receipt or certificate has already been issued for the donation.

Requirements for Refund Requests

All refund requests must include the following details:

  • Date of Donation
  • Amount of Donation
  • Mode of Donation (e.g., Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, Online Transfer, Cheque, or Demand Draft)

Time Limit for Refund Requests

Refund requests must reach the office of Markaz Academy of Qur’an Studies within 7 (Seven) days from the date of donation. The date of donation shall be defined as:

  • The date on which the donation was made online, electronically, or through any digital payment method.
  • The date on which the cheque or demand draft was handed over to MAQS or its authorized representative.
  • The date on which the cheque or demand draft was dispatched to MAQS by post or any other means.

Refund Processing Period

Once a refund request is approved, the refund process may take 7 to 30 working days, depending on confirmation and information received from third parties such as banks, payment gateways, or other financial institutions through which the transaction was processed.
